Doctor Found Guilty of Sex Assault

Tory Westbrook will be sentenced on January 31.

A Connecticut doctor and surgeon has been found guilty of sexual assault.

Tory Westbrook, a Glastonbury, Conn. residents, was accused of inappropriately touching more than a dozen female patients during exams at the Community Health Center in Clinton. He has denied all the allegations and his attorney will appeal the verdict.

Westbrook was charged with second- and fourth-degree found sexual assault and found guilty on all eight counts.

This trial involved allegations of five of the patients, and other criminal cases remain pending.

Bond was set at $1.4 million and Westbrook will be sentenced on Jan. 31, when he could be sentenced to up to 44 years in prison.

The allegations led the state Medical Examining Board to suspend Westbrook's license to practice medicine last year.
