The 24-year-old woman who was driving a group home van during a crash in Bristol in October has been charged in connection with the death of one of her passengers.
Police said Kasiana Goodman, 24, of Waterbury, hit a septic truck on Waterbury Road in Bristol just before 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 8. At the time, police said sun glare impeded her vision.
Scott Duell, 68, and two other adults in the van were taken to Waterbury Hospital, and Duell died on Oct. 9 from injuries sustained in the crash, police said.
Police arrested Goodman on Wednesday and charged her with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, traveling at a unreasonable speed and fail to drive left of a parked vehicle.
Goodman was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and is due in court on Feb. 1.
