Drunken Teen Falls Asleep in Car at McDonald's Drive-Thru: Naugatuck Police

A drunken teenager fell asleep in his car while stopped in a McDonald's drive-thru in Naugatuck, police said. 

Frederic Widmer, 19, of Oxford, was arrested on charges including operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol. 

Police responced to the McDonald's in Naugatuck to investigate a man asleep in a car in the drive-thru lane at a bout 2:46 a.m. on Saturday. 

Officers determined the man was under the influence of alcohol, so they charged him with operating under the influence of drugs and alcohol. 

They also found 1.3 grams of marijuana and a vaporizing device in his car, so they additionally charged him with possession of a controlled substance, a non-narcotic, hallucinogen or under four ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

He was released on two $1,000 bonds and is scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 27.
