Cops: Man Went to Prostitute Because Wife Said He’s Too Old

After his wife told him that he was too old to be having sex, an Ashford man set out to prove her otherwise, police said.

The 68-year-old ended up in handcuffs, along with the 28-year-old woman he was going to pay for sex, a known prostitute, the Middletown Press reports.

When police stopped the car Donald Boynton was driving in Middletown last week, he told officers his wife said the couple was too old for sex so he was going to pay the woman who was also in his car, Rachel Larkin, around $30 for oral sex, according to the police report.

Police said Larkin had a used hypodermic needle. She was charged with prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia while Boynton was charged with soliciting a prostitute, according to the paper.

The two were released from police custody on the condition they appear in Middletown Superior Court on Sept. 13.

The arrest is not Larkin's first run-in with the law. On March 19, a 90-day jail sentence for Larkin was suspended on the condition she attend drug treatment, the newspaper report, and she had just pled guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia.

In April, police encountered Larkin on two occassions, both times she was found to be in the possession of drug paraphernalia. Larkin was arrested once in June and when approached by police in August, turned over the needles and pipe she was carrying.
