Emergency road work is causing heavy delays on part of Route 4 in Farmington.
Police said the emergency road work is necessary because a steel plate was found to be “unsafe.”
It is taking place near the intersection with Garden Street, just west of Route 10.
Police said they hope to complete the work by 9:30 a.m., but it might linger past that.
