Estate of Mother Killed in Murder-Suicide Files Suit

The family of a young mother of three who was killed in a murder-suicide is suing the estate of the husband who police said killed her.

Police said Alexander Ryng, 26, killed his 27-year-old wife, Kyla Ring on June 4 in their Bristol home, then shot and killed himself.

The couple’s children were 4, 3 and 20 months at the time.

"Our only concern is providing for the children. Mr Ryng lacked the capacity to understand his actions.

Now, the family and our office must do what we can to help them both emotionally and financially" said attorney Paul Iannaccone, of the law firm of RisCassi and Davis, who is representing the estate of Kyla Ryng.

The lawsuit, which was filed on Tuesday in New Britain Superior Court, .

It states that Alexander Ryng  suffered from severe mental illness and had become severely agitated and increasingly violent over Kyla's filing for divorce..

"This is an unspeakable tragedy.  Mr Ryng was on a downward spiral of mental illness that unfortunately resulted in the death of his wife" said Iannaccone.
