Extended Range Forecast: Mild First Week of November

It's impossible for meteorologists to nail down specific high and low temperatures 10 days out, or know how much rain will fall next week, but often times the general theme or pattern of a future week can be seen a week or two before hand.

With that said, a big warm-up is likely next week. A ridge of high pressure will pump in air from the south and that means temperatures will be well above average.

The best way to forecast for a week out is to look at ensemble forecasts, which show a whole range of solutions. Pattern identification is important as well.
