Fairfield Police Searching for Armed Robbers

Fairfield Police are searching for two men who held up a bank early Friday morning.

According to police, shortly after the bank opened at 8 a.m. employees called police to report a robbery at 8:43 a.m.

The bank teller told police that two men entered the bank and approached her.

One jumped over the counter, while the other stayed in the customer area. One suspect displayed a silver hand gun and demanded money.

The suspects are described as black males. They were wearing all black clothing, gloves and ski masks.

They fled the bank through the rear door on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. It is unknown if they used a vehicle to get away.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Post Road is a highly visible area with many commercial business and commuter traffic.
