A 24-year-old Bloomfield woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 84 just before 1:30 a.m. Monday.
State police said Sherryann Jamila Haylett, 24, of Bloomfield, was driving an Acura east on I-84 when she went off the road near the Farmington-West Hartford line, hit the guide rail and some trees and went down an embankment.
Haylett was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police.
The highway was closed, but the scene is now clearing.
Troopers are investigating and ask anyone with information to call the state police Troop H office in Hartford at 860-534-1000.
