An East Hartford man was killed in a crash on Route 2 Thursday night.
Melvin Gordon, 31, of East Hartford was driving on Route 2 West in the area of Maple Street when he veered off the highway and into a tree, according to state police.
Gordon was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No one else was injured in the crash.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call Troop H in Hartford at 860-534-1000.
