A fire has closed a state park in Groton on Sunday.
Officials with the state Dept. of Energy and Environmental Protection said Bluff Point State Park is closed due to a fire.
Authorities said Groton fire officials responded to the scene and were able to extinguish the fire before DEEP Forestry Division officials arrived.
Authorities did not release additional details about the fire including any damage it may have caused.

There is no word on when the park may fully reopen.
