Six adults and two children are displaced after their three-family home burst into flames in Bridgeport today.
Fire officials responded to the home at 951, 953 and 959 Capitol Avenue in Bridgeport around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday and arrived to find heavy fire and thick smoke pouring from the second and third floors of the three-family house.
The flames stretched up to 25 feet into the air, according to fire officials. The flames were controlled within an hour, but firefighters continued to search for hotspots and hidden pockets of fire.
Everyone made it out safely and no injuries were reported, but the house is a loss.
