Ten people are out of their houses and an elderly woman is in the hospital after a fire at the Naugatuck home.
Fire started at 79 Woodbine St. at around 5 a.m. Wednesday.
The 10 people who were in the 2-1/2 story wood structure all made it out safely but one elderly woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The fire also damaged a neighboring home.
The frigid morning temperatures made fighting the fire more difficult because everything iced over quickly. A few firefighters slipped, but none were injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
