Oh, THAT Fire? Firefighter Faces Arson

The job "firefighter" seems pretty self-explanatory.  Put out fires.  Instead, former firefighter Brett Fennessy, 23 is accused of setting fires.

The Republican-American is reporting that the Terryville volunteer is now facing more arson charges. Last year, Fennessy was suspended after he was charged with deliberately setting 13 fires in Plymouth and one in Thomaston.

Brett Fennessy of Plymouth is charged with third degree arson and other crimes. Plymouth police say he set a small barn fire on Carter Road last September that caused minor damage.

No one has been hurt in the fires.

Fennessy has been detained in lieu of bonds totaling $1 million since his arrest in September. He’s set to appear in court again next Tuesday.
