A firefighter is being treated after sustaining a non-life threatening injury while battling a blaze at a home in Windsor Locks.
Fire crews said they responded to a structure fire on Cherry Street at approximately 3 p.m. Saturday.
Responding firefighters said there was an active fire showing from the front porch and inside of the single-family home.
One person was home at the time and was alerted to the fire by a smoke alarm. They were able to escape the blaze without injury.

A firefighter is being treated for a non-life threatening injury after falling through the porch.
"It's when you get a windy day, it just kind of like adds to the fire, intensifies it if it will add more oxygen to the flame, so it was cooking pretty good," said Windsor Locks Fire Chief Gary Ruggiero.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Windsor Locks Fire Marshal's Office.
