Fire damaged a large house on Forty Acre Mountain Road in Danbury this morning, but there were fortunately no injuries.
The three people who were in the house when the fire started got out safely, according to fire officials.
More than 50 firefighters responded to the intense fire and steep land presented a challenge for crews, fire officials said.
Three departments provided mutual aid.
Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
