Naugatuck fireifghters have responded to City Hill Middle School in Naugatuck.
They are investigating a smoke condition in the school's gym.
Fire officials said there's no working fire there.
They were on scene as of 5:16 p.m.
City Hill Middle School is located at 441 City Hill Street in Naugatuck.
