Ice Likely Caused 2 Crashes in Lebanon: FD

Emergency crews have cleared two crashes in Lebanon that are believed to have been caused by ice on Tuesday morning.

The Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department said they were responding to back to back rollover accidents around 7:15 a.m. They said both accidents were possibly serious.

Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department Chief John Lyon said everyone was out of the vehicle involved in the first accident, which happened on Kick Hill Road by Gregory Road.

Crews also responded to Trumbull Highway, also known as Route 87, for the second rollover, firefighters said.

State Department of Transportation sand trucks were called to the area to cover approximately 500 feet of sheer ice, firefighters said.

There is no word if anyone was injured in the crashes.
