As we get ready for the 4th of July, here are the events planned for the holiday.
Family Day at Pent Road will be held on Saturday, July 10. Events begin at 6:30 p.m. with fireworks at dusk. Buses will run from the firehouse and Woodland High starting at 6 p.m.
Lake Compounce will host fireworks on July 2, 3 and 4.
Coventry
Fireworks will take place during CoventryFest at Patriots Park on Lake Street on Saturday, July 10. The rain date is Sunday, July 11. Fireworks will begin around 9 p.m.
Local
Fireworks happen on Saturday, Aug. 28, during Riverport Festival in historic downtown Cromwell. . They begin at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Fireworks on July 2 at dusk at Danbury Fair. Rain date is July 5.
Fireworks will take place on July 2, with a rain date of July 3. They will be held on the Shelton banks of the Housatonic River
Fireworks happen during Riverfest on Saturday, July 10 at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, Great River Park and Founders Plaza. Fireworks begin around 9 p.m.
The 11th Annual Celebrate East Lyme will be held on Saturday, July 17 in downtown Niantic. There will be a Sand Castle Competition at McCook's Point Park from 9 a .m. to 11 a.m. In the afternoon, a two-block section of Main Street will be closed for a street festival from 3 to 9 p.m. The celebration will end with a fantastic fireworks display over Niantic Bay.
Enfield hold is Fourth of July celebration from July 9 through 11 at the town green. The fireworks display will be on Sunday, July 11, from 9:45 p.m. to 10:30 p.m..
Fireworks will happen July 4 at Jennings Beach.
Farmington
Fireworks will be held on July 9 at 9:30 p.m. Union School, 173 School St. in Unionville. The rain date is July 10. For more information call (860) 675-2534.
The fireworks display will be held on Saturday, July 3 at dusk at Greenwich Point and Binney Park. The rain date is Monday, July, 5.
The Hamden Independence Day Celebration Fireworks Display is scheduled for July 2, from 6 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. at 2761 Dixwell Ave., according to the New Haven Register.
Fireworks happen on Saturday, July 10 during Riverfest at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, Great River Park and Founders Plaza. Fireworks happen at 9 p.m.
Fireworks happen during the Summer Dance Fest on July 10. The display starts at dusk. Rain date is July 11.
The fireworks display will be on July 2, 9:30 p.m. They are shot off of a barge located off of West Wharf Beach. Rain date is July 9. /
The annual James Dutch Fogarty Independence Day Celebration will happen on Saturday, July 3 at 4 p.m. at Manchester Community College. Rain date is July 5.
Meriden’s fireworks display will take place at Westfield Mall on Friday, July 2. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. and continue to 10 p.m.
The 3-D Fireworks display happens on July 4 at Quassy Amusement Par at dusk. Glasses will be sold for $1. Fireworks start at 10:15 p.m. Cost of parking is $7. For information, call 203-758-2913 or click the link above,
Milford’s Firework Extravaganza will take place on Saturday July 3, the Black Bear Saloon. For $25, guests will have VIP seating for the fireworks, live entertainment, and an all you can eat buffet.
Fireworks display will take place at Westfield Mall on Friday, July 2. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. and continue to 10 p.m.
New Britain
Great American Boom happens at Stanley Quarter Park on July 4, 2159 Stanley St. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.
Fireworks are set off on Sunday, July 4. Waveny Park opens at 5 p.m., cars must enter through the main gate on South Avenue with an entry pass shown on the windshield, according to the NC Advertiser.com.
The July 4th celebration will include fireworks at East Rock Park. Display begins at 9:15 a.m. Public viewing locations will be available from 9:15 to 9:45 p.m. at Blake Field off State Street, Wilbur Cross High School on Mitchell Drive, College Wood on Mitchell Drive and Rice Field off View Street. Parking will be available at Wilbur Cross High School and Blake Rink
The fireworks display will happen on Saturday, July 10 at 9: 20 p.m. on the New London Waterfront. No coolers are allowed on the waterfront.
The fireworks show will start at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, at Fort Hill Still Meadow and end at approximately 10:15 p.m.
The 29th annual Extravaganza is an all-day event on Saturday, July 17 at Mill Pond Park that begins at 9 a.m. and ends with a fireworks display.
Fireworks happen during the Potato and Corn Festival on Aug. 7. The fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m. Free parking is offered at North Branford Intermediate School and Stanley T. Williams School and a shuttle will take you to the festival.
Fireworks are scheduled for July 3 at Calf Pasture Beach. Entertainment begins at 5:30 p.m. and performances will go on before and after the fireworks.
Dodd Stadium will be home to Norwich’s fireworks on July 3 at 9:15 p.m. Tickets are required. They will be free and issued on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the Norwich Bulletin.
Portland
The fireworks display will be on July 17, according to the Middletown Press.
Fireworks display will be on Friday, July 2 in Rotary Park at dusk. It features “Outriggers” at 7:15 p.m. Rain date is Saturday. July 10.
A concert and fireworks display is scheduled for July 2, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Rain date is July 3. Out of Touch Cover Band will perform. Parking fee is $5 per car.
A fireworks celebration will take place at Ridgefield High School on July 4. Gates open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at dusk. The rain date will be July 5.
The fireworks display is scheduled for Friday, July 2 at the Shelton Riverwalk Veterans Park located downtown. It will follow an Orchestral Music concert, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Fireworks will go of during the Celebrate America – The Annual Red, White & Blue Tradition, which happens during the Talcott Mountain Music Festival. The festival happens at the Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows on July 2.Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are requires for the event.
The annual 4th of July Summerfest happens on Saturday July 3, from noon until 9 p.m. at the Stafford High School Track. Fireworks will be at 9:15 p.m.

The town fireworks display will happen near the grounds of the Mark T. Sheehan High School on Saturday, July 3 shortly after 9 p.m. There is no rain date, but the event could be cancelled for inclement weather. Public parking will be available at Moran Middle School, Sheehan High.
Washington
Fireworks will be held Sunday, July 4 at the Shepaug Valley Middle/High School Grounds on South Street. During the day there will be a Road Race and family picnic.
The Fourth of July Holiday Fireworks will be at Municipal Stadium on Sunday night, July 4. The fireworks will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. Prior to the fireworks a concert featuring Dave Gardino and Swingshift will perform.Gates at the Stadium will open at 6 p.m. and admission is free. Rain date is Monday, July 5.
West Haven’s fireworks will take place at 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 3 at Bradley Point on the West Haven Beach.
Weston’s Family 4th Celebration will take place on Sunday, July 4 at Weston Middle School. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Fireworks display is at 9:20 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children 3-17. Children under 2 are admitted for free. Admission will be collected at the entrance to Weston Intermediate School as people enter the school campus to park.
The fireworks display will be held at Compo Beach on Friday, July 2. Fireworks tickets are currently available at the Westport Parks and Recreation office during business hours and at police headquarters any time. All tickets must be purchased in advance. The cost is $30 per car. Compo Beach will close at 4 p.m. and reopen at 5 p.m. for fireworks ticket holders. The show will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m.
The WILI Boom Box Parade happens on July 4 at noon. Parade begins at Jilson Square.
The 4th of July celebration will be held on July 4. It begins at 8:30 a.m. with a Freedom Run Road Race at the Wilton High School football field and track. The fireworks will happen around 9:30 p.m.
Fireworks happen during the fire department’s annual carnival on Friday, July 9. The display starts around 9:30 p.m. at Veterans’ Memorial Park, on Southwest Avenue. Rain date is Saturday, July 10, at 9:30 p.m.

Lime Rock Park and the Rotary Club of Salisbury will host a fireworks display on Saturday, July 1 after the NASCAR doubleheader. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Cost is $10 per car.
July in the Sky Fireworks happen on Thursday, July 1. Henry Park and Downtown Rockville open at 6 p.m. Parking is available at Henry Park for $5 per car or at various downtown locations. There is a $1 pedestrian fee to enter Henry Park. Downtown Rockville will be accepting donations.
