Former Hartford Mayor Eddie Perez faces the possibility of up to 55 years in prison for bribery and attempted extortion and will be sentenced on Tuesday.
Perez was on trial for four weeks and was found guilty in June on five of six felony counts. He resigned as mayor after his conviction.
Perez, 52, has maintained his innocence and said he will appeal.
His attorneys have filed post-trial motions asking that Perez be acquitted of all charges and requested a new trial.
