Former NBA star Chris Herren is heading to Glastonbury later this week to share his story of substance abuse and recovery with students at Smith Middle School.
Chris Herren, who played for the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets, dealt with substance abuse throughout his professional basketball career. He has been alcohol- and drug-free since Aug. 1, 2008, and has become a motivational speaker and author.
