An East Windsor Salon and Day Spa is offering free haircuts to the first 100 people who walk through their doors with a pink slip in hand.
The owner of Absolute Serenity Salon and Day Spa on Prospect Hill Road decided to give back to the community by offering the free cuts to people laid off because of the economy.
Angela Wheeler said that while a free cut may not solve a customer's financial problems, her stylists can make that customer's day a little bit brighter.
"It makes you feel good to get your hair done, so we figured that's what we would offer," Wheeler said.
"I think it's very nice that we can help somebody out, boost their spirits, bring them in, even if we make them feel good for an hour, feel good for a day, whatever it is," said Lauren Boudreau, one of the stylists at Absolute Serenity.
