New Britain firefighters knocked down a garage fire early Sunday morning.
Fire officials said crews responded around 1:29 a.m. to reports of a garage on fire at 131 Landers Avenue. When crews arrived they found heavy fire in the detached garage of a single-family home.
Firefighters got the fire under control in about 20 minutes. No injuries were reported.
The garage was totally destroyed. A pickup truck in the driveway and the back deck of the home were heavily damaged, but the fire did not extend to the house.
The New Britain fire marshal is investigating the cause.
