Route 6 was closed in Bristol because of a gas leak Friday morning.
Police said Farmington Avenue, or Route 6, was closed between Camp Street and Stafford Avenue.
Eversource, firefighters and police officers responded to the scene and contained the leak.
The road reopened around 9:30 a.m.
