Gas Prices Going Down, Down, Down

How low can gas prices go? This is the fourth month the numbers on the pumps have dropped in CT.

As of Tuesday, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $2.36, down from $3.20 in mid-October, according to the AAA.  A year ago the price in Connecticut was $3.20 a gallon.

Diesel is also falling. AAA reports diesel fuel is down from $4.02 a gallon a month ago to $3.46.

Nationally, AAA says the average price has fallen from $3.16 a gallon to $2.22.

Still, the cheapest gas in the Northeast is in New Jersey at $2.18 a gallon.
