A female choreography instructor ended a relationship with a 15-year-old female student soon after it started because it was "inappropriate", but that was not soon enough, according to police.
Anastasia Gagnon, 20, was a choreography instructor at the ACT magnet school in Willimantic when the relationship with the teenage girl at the school started, according to court papers.
In an interview with police, the alleged victim said that she, not Gagnon, initiated the relationship.
It ended almost as quickly as it started when Gagnon told the teen it was "inappropriate" and she could get in trouble, according to court papers.
Gagnon is accused of sex-assault charges and risk of injury to a minor. Her attorney said the allegations against his client appear to have come to light in the course of state police investigating another instructor at the school, who was also accused of having a sexual relationship with a student. She was arraigned at Rockville Superior Court Monday and posted $15,000 bail.
This is the second time in less than a month that an instructor at the ACT magnet school in Willimantic has been accused of having a sexual relationship with another 15-year-old girl.
Charges against that former teacher, Adam Friedman, 44, are pending.
