Woman Who Spotted Isabella Speaks Out

She was just driving by, on her way to work.

Linda Subbloie takes Indian River Road everyday, but last Wednesday, she noticed something a little different.  What she noticed through the hole in a roadside farm stand...was a head moving around.

Turns out it was Isabella Oleschuk, the 13 year old missing since the Sunday before, and turns out, Isabella had been hiding in the farm stand all along.

Subbloie lives in New Haven but works in Orange. Speaking to the New Haven Register, she said as soon as she saw the figure moving around, she immediately thought it could be Isabella.

Subbloie called police around 10:45 Wednesday morning. Within minutes, an Orange police officer arrived to find the girl, who had no idea hundreds of people had been searching for her. Isabella had a blanket, pop tarts and juice and had been hiding there since she ran away.

Initially, Subbloie asked police not to identify her but reconsidered.  She now feels its important to share her story. As she tells the Register, it's essential to keep your eyes open.  She's happy she took the extra time to follow up on what she saw and is just thrilled Isabella is ok.
