Governor's Newtown Panel to Hear from Law Enforcement

A state panel reviewing the Newtown school shooting is scheduled to hear from law enforcement professionals about incident management.

The Sandy Hook Advisory Commission, Gov. Dannel Malloy created to come up with policy recommendations in the wake of the deadly mass shooting, will hear presentations from state and local police and fire officials, including Newtown Police Chief Michael Kehoe.

A presentation will also be made about employee assistance programs for first responders.

Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner William Rubenstein is also scheduled to discuss managing donations in light of such an event.

The 16-member panel is expected to submit its recommendations sometime early this year.
   
The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. in hearing room 1A.
