Groton Police Arrest Suspect in Subway Robbery

Groton police have arrested a man accused of robbing a Subway sandwich shop on Monday morning.

A man handed a note to an employee at the Subway located at 282 Rt. 12 in Groton just before 9:30 a.m. and also asked for money, then ran south on North Pleasant Valley Road with the cash, according to police.

No one was hurt during the robbery and responding officer set upon the search for the robber.

They learned that a man matching the robber’s description had left the area in a taxi and soon found a suspect in New London.

Ted J. Woodhouse, 25, was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree threatening, sixth-degree larceny, heroin possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
