Disturbing Warning from Groton Murder Victim: Look for Me in Freezer

Madeline Brisson’s body was found stuffed in a freezer over the weekend and family and friends made the disturbing revelation on Tuesday that she feared she might be in danger and told her loved ones where to look for her should something go wrong.

Luis Otero, a 49-year-old Army veteran, is accused in Brisson’s death and is being held on $2 million bail.
"The guy promised to kill her and put her in the freezer. She told me this after they got in an argument one time, " Brisson’s friend, Johnny Robinson, told NBC Connecticut. "She also told her sisters who live in Florida, if I ever come up missing, look in the freezer."
Otero and Brisson shared a home on Gold Star Highway. Her body was found on Sunday. He was charged on Tuesday with Brisson’s murder.
The couple’s landlord said he had not seen Brisson since Feb. 23, the Hartford Courant reports.
An official cause of death has not yet been determined and Otero's arrest warrant remains sealed but the judge said the evidence against Otero is significant.
Otero has a criminal history, including a conviction from unlawful restraint in 1995. He beat up his girlfriend and bound her with masking tape when she tried to break up with him, the Day of New London reports.
Otero will return to court March 24.
