Police are investigating after a gun was fired during a New Haven home invasion last night, authorities said.
According to police, a man with a gun entered an apartment on East Street in New Haven on Saturday night. Several women and a baby were inside. Police said a gunshot was reported, but no one was injured.
The occupants made it out safely. Officers arrested the suspect inside the apartment but couldn’t find the gun, police said. It’s not clear whether the suspect and the apartment residents knew one another. None of the people involved have been identified.
The investigation is ongoing.
