2016 Fairs and Festivals

Fair and festival season is underway and there is a lot to do in Connecticut this time of year. 

These are some of the upcoming fairs and festivals. Comment below and let us know which fairs you don't want to miss.  

Hebron Harvest Festival
Sept. 8-11: This festival offers live entertainment, livestock pulls, fair food and contests to show off your talents. 

North Haven Fair 
Sept. 8-11: Enjoy attractions, such as a pony drawing contest, and live entertainment, including a show by country singer Craig Campbell

Wapping Fair
Sept. 8-11: See animals from bunnies to cows, watch pig and dachshund races, enjoy rides and get lunch or dinner from the food festival. 

Four Town Fair 
Sept. 15-18: Enjoy an antique and classic car show, rockabilly and country music, largest frog and frog jumping contests and more.

Guilford Agricultural Fair
Sept. 16-18: Entertainment for the Guilford Fair includes the Flying Wallendas, the Skinny German Juggling Boy and live music. Big Shot, a Billy Joel Tribute Band, will perform on Friday and American Idol winner Nick Fradiani will perform on Saturday.

The Big E
Sept. 16 to Oct. 2: The fair goes on for days and features several attractions, including performances by Gloria Gaynor, Blood, Sweat and Tears.

Orange Country Fair
Sept. 17-18: The fair gets underway with a truck pull on Friday and includes entertainment for all ages through Sunday.

Durham Fair
Sept. 22 to Sept. 25: This is the state’s largest agricultural fair and includes entertainment, rides, many food options and entertainment. Foreigner will be performing on Saturday, Sept. 24.

Berlin Fair
Sept. 30 to Oct. 2: Enjoy rides, kart races, a blueberry pie eating contest, fair food and more.

Harwinton Fair
Sept. 30 to Oct. 2: Watch the mini horse pulls, live music, a car show and see live animals. There will also be drone demonstrations, pig races,  hay bale tosses, skillet throws and more.  

Portland Fair
Oct. 7-9: Entertainment includes tractor pulls, watch Rosie's racing pigs and a Halloween costume contest.
