Hartford police have arrested two men accused of breaking into a home while the owner was on vacation.
Police said George Ashline, 48, of West Hartford and Jose Gonzalez, 40, of Hartford, allegedly broke into a home on Brown Street by removing a piece of glass on a back door.
A neighbor spotted two suspects entering the house and, knowing that the homeowner was on vacation, called police, who responded and found Ashline and Gonzalez inside the home. Police contacted the homeowner who confirmed that no one should have been in the house.
Both men were charged with third-degree burglary. Detectives are also working to see if the suspects are connected to other recent burglaries in West Hartford.
