Hartford police have identified the driver killed in a crash on Collins Street Saturday.
Police said 26-year-old Shantay Clark, of East Hartford, was driving on Collins Street when crashed her Nissan Maxima into a utility pole in front of 275 Collins St.
Clark was taken to Saint Francis Hospital with life-threatening injuries and pronounced dead.
There were no passengers in the car.
Hartford Police Deputy Chief Foley said speed appears to be a factor, based on surveillance footage.
Hartford police continue to investigate.
