Police Arrest Suspect in Fatal Hartford Shooting

Police arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting that happened in Hartford Monday night.

Officers captured 25-year-old Jesse Culbreath, of Hartford, overnight, according to Dep. Chief Brian Foley.  They also recovered the gun used in the crime, Foley said.

Hartford police received numerous 911 calls at about 7:55 p.m. Monday reporting someone was shot near 57 Judson Street. When police arrived, they found Richard Holloway, 26, of Hartford, with a gunshot wound to the chest. 

Holloway was taken to the emergency room at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, where a physician pronounced him dead at 8:35 p.m.

Culbreath is charged with murder.
