A man shot multiple times in an Evergreen Avenue home is in critical condition in the intensive care unit at St. Francis Hospital.
Police responded to 31 Evergreen Avenue at 11:49 p.m. on Thursday to investigate a report of a person shot. Officers found Tyrone Huggins, 31, suffering from several gunshot wounds.
Huggins was shot after a possible drug-related altercation toward the back of 31 Evergreen Ave., police said their preliminary investigation found.
He was transported to St. Francis, where doctors discovered wounds from being stabbed and shot.
As of Friday afternoon, the man was listed in critical and unstable condition, police said.
Police notified Huggins' next of kin about the incident.
