One snowstorm is down and another is on the way.
Snow is expected to begin late afternoon on Wednesday and continue until daybreak on Thursday, bringing another 6 to 10 inches to the record 44.1 inches that has fallen at Bradley Airport.
The storm comes after snow coated the state yet again on Tuesday and made for a long, slow morning commute.
Several traffic problems were reported early on Tuesday and state police received more than 100 calls for service and 149 crashes. One person was killed in a collision on I-95 in Groton and four people were injured.
In Southington, a Jeep went down an embankment on Interstate 84 and into the trees below. It took crews more than two hours to tow it away. The people in the car were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
In Wallingford, a state police cruiser was struck on Route 15, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
In Hartford, a car struck a school bus on Hamilton Street around 9:30 a.m. The children were not injured. They were placed on another bus and taken to school.

The snowfall reached a new record at Bradley Airport -- 44.1 inches this month, making it the snowiest January on record in metro Hartford, according to NBC Connecticut meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan.
Metro-North advised that, due to a weather-related equipment shortage, customers on New Haven Line should anticipate crowded trains and possible delays.

A winter storm watch is in effect for the entire state until noon on Thursday.
A bigger storm is a possibility for Wednesday night into Thursday, which could bring another 6 to 10 inches to add to the piles.
