Three people suffered minor injuries during a chain-reaction crash involving four tractor-trailers on Interstate 91 North in Meriden late Thursday night.
State police said the crash was near exit 18 at 11:31 p.m. when three trucks were stopped in traffic because of a prior crash. The fourth truck failed to stop and hit the back of one truck, causing the chain-reaction crash, officials said.
Crews from the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection were called to the scene to assist with the investigation.
