Interstate 84 westbound was shut down in Danbury on Friday night following a fatal wrong-way crash.
Police said I-84 west was closed near exit 4 after two cars crashed, state police said.
A Dodge Ram 3500 was traveling west on the interstate when a Ford Focus traveling east hit the truck head on.
The driver of the Ford Focus, Marcos Ramon Chillogalli, sustained fatal injuries, while the other driver was transported to Danbury Hospital.
Chillogalli, of Danbury, was 40 years old.
Connecticut State Police said they are investigating.
