Two state troopers and a female suspect have been taken to the hospital after a woman stole a delivery van full of bread and led police on chase that ended in a crash on Interstate 91 North in North Haven Thursday morning, according to officials.
A law enforcement source said the incident started in Bridgeport, when the woman stole a deliver van with Pennsylvania plates.
State police said the pursuit started at exit 3 and a female suspect in custody after crashing.
During the eight-mile chase, the driver hit two police cruisers, according to state police.
DOT crews spent around three hours cleaning up the scene, removing the broken light police and fixing the guardrail.
