Ice Led to Issues on Roads, School Delays

There were some issues on the roads Monday morning after rain last night created click spots and there were a couple school delays because of it. 

Ridgefield schools had a two-hour delay and Windsor Locks schools had a 90-minute delay.

In Norfolk, a plow truck rolled over after sliding off the road due to icy conditions on Bald Mountain Road. The driver was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Hamden police reported several crashes on Hamden Hills Drive this morning because of icy roads. 

In Bethel, emergency management officials warned that many roads were slippery and said the Department of Public Works was called in to sand the roads.

Officials in Greenwich also warned about icing conditions throughout town.
