Inmate Charged in Eyeglass Heist

Suspect has been arrested 47 times.

A 51-year-old Hartford man with a lengthy arrest record is accused of stealing more than $19,000 in eyeglass products.

Blood left behind at the scene of an eyeglass store robbery in Glastonbury in July 2008 led police to Kyle McFarlin, who is in prison for several other thefts, police said.

McFarlin is accused of stealing designer eyeglass frames worth $19,000. He was charged with third-degree burglary and first-degree larceny.

He was arrested on Wednesday. It was the 47th time he has been arrested, Glastonbury police said.
