It's The Real Thing: A Big Mess

A tractor-trailer and a car crashed on I-395 in Griswold Saturday morning.  The accident happened after midnight, according to the State Police. 

Although damage was heavy due to the impact of the crash, no one was hurt, police said.  The state department of transportation was still cleaning the scene at daybreak.

The truck, carrying Coca-Cola products fell hard, uprooting a guardrail, knocking off tires and catching on fire.  The truck crashed with a car, according to firefighters at the scene.  No one was in the car when emergency crews got to the scene.

The cola products were removed onto another tractor-trailer called to the accident site.

All lanes on the busy highway were closed for a period of time, but they were reopened after 8:00 Saturday morning.
