A ride on a lawnmower has landed a Vermont man in a pile of trouble.
Nikolaus Trombley, 22, is accused of stealing a riding lawn mower from East Lyme High School in the middle of the night on Tuesday, driving it to his father’s house a couple of miles away to cut the grass, then abandoning it, the Day of New London reports.
Trombley had a radio to listen for police, but surveillance video captured his unusual lawn-care outing, according to the Day.
Trombley told police that he was drunk and was looking for a place to sleep when he found the keys to the mower in a trailer at the high school, the Day reports.
