Ledyard Police could not find the man they believe was involved in a Westerly, Rhode Island shooting Saturday morning after an extensive search.
Westerly Police believe the man fled to Connecticut after the shooting that left one dead.
Ledyard and Mashantucket Police searched the area on foot for the suspect.
Officers will patrol the area as other leads as pursued, according to police.
Police warn residents that the man may be armed.
Police searched the area of Shewville Road and Coachman Pike.
Anyone who sees a suspicious person in the area is asked to call police.
