A 3-year-old was airlifted to Hartford Hospital after falling in Colchester on Wednesday evening, according to state police.
State police said the child fell on Woodbine Road just after 8 p.m. and an ambulance was also dispatched, but paramedics determined the child needed additional care because of the extent in injuries, so LifeStar medical helicopter was called and brought the child to Hartford Hospital.
State police said there is no criminal aspect of the case.
The child's condition is not known.
