A rock artist from New London County will compete in Los Angeles on Tuesday night for the chance at a major record deal.
Mystic native Will Evans is one of five artists who will perform at the Viper Room on the famed Sunset Boulevard in the "neXt2rock" grassroots music competition, sponsored by Cumulus Media.
Evans was selected to represent the New London area and 102.3 The Wolf radio.
"We are so thrilled that Will Evans will be representing the New London market and Classic Rock 102.3 The Wolf in Los Angeles at the next2rock finale," said Jessica Vargas, VP and Market Manager of The Wolf. "Will is an extremely talent individual, and we can't wait to see him play at the Viper Room in front of some of the biggest names in the rock industry.
"I am thrilled to represent New England and the Roots Rock scene on a national level," Evans told 102.3 The Wolf. "These opportunities don't come along very often in this business, and I am humbled and grateful for the chance to share my music."
The five finalists from across the country were selected by a panel of rock radio professionals.
They will compete in front of industry professionals including Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale and fashion designer and record label head John Varvatos.
