Lou Gramm Won't Perform With Foreigner at Mohegan Due to Illness

Foreigner will be performing at Mohegan Sun Arena Thursday night, but Lou Gramm, original lead singer, will not be part of the show.

He was hospitalized at the Unity Hospital at Park Ridge in Rochester, New York last week with a severe respiratory infection, dehydration and fatigue and his doctor said he will not be able to perform during the FOREIGNER Double Vision: Then & Now tour and some scheduled shows with Asia, according to Mohegan Sun.

"I’m very disappointed about not being able to perform at the FOREIGNER Double Vision: Then & Now shows for all the fans. My doctor insists if I pushed myself to perform, I would be in big trouble. So doctor’s orders, I ride the bench. Rock on!," Gramm said in a statement.

“We will all miss Lou at our upcoming shows and we join all his family, friends, and fans in wishing him a speedy recovery,” fellow original band member, Mick Jones, said in a statement.

The FOREIGNER Double Vision: Then & Now tour will go on with other original members as they join Mick Jones and the current lineup of performers.

The show will be at Mohegan Sun Arena on Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

If fans would like a refund on tickets, an option for refunds is possible and can be received at point of purchase prior to the start of the show, according to Mohegan Sun.

The band is known for a long string of classic rock hits including "Cold As Ice," "Feels Like The First Time," and "Hot Blooded."
