A man working security for Macy's at the WestFarms Mall was charged last week with stealing from the store.
Reinaldo Viera was employed as a loss prevention agent for Macy's when he was caught taking items from the West Hartford store after hours, police said.
Viera is facing charges of larceny and possession of a shoplifting device. His status with the store was not immediately available.
