Mainly Dry Weekend Ahead

High pressure is in firm command of Connecticut's weather through tomorrow and that means dry weather will stick around to start the weekend.

Temperatures will only rise into the 50s today, quite a difference from yesterday. Abundant sunshine will be the rule.

Tomorrow features sun and high clouds with temperatures in the lower and middle 50s. The clouds will tend to thicken later in the day.

A weather system goes by to the north on Sunday, so there's a slight chance of a shower, but much of the day will be dry. Temperatures will be in the lower 60s, even with cloudy skies.

Much improved weather arrives Monday and it sticks around.

Mostly sunny skies are expected Monday, and sunny conditions will delight from Tuesday through Wednesday.

Temperatures will rise through the 60s and perhaps touch 70 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday.

Even with a bit of cloud cover in the mix, Thursday and Friday look warm and dry.
